  19. I'm using OS/2 C-Kermit 5A(191) as a telnet client and am having problems 
  20. when downloading files.  Throughput is good initially (around 1200 cps 
  21. for binary files) but often after some time has elapsed the transfer rate 
  22. steadily decreases.  I initially thought that the problem was from 
  23. timing out and based on recommendations increased both the 'set receive 
  24. timeout' and the 'set send timeout' parameters.  I thought that this had 
  25. solved the problem but I noticed the same slowdown the other day when 
  26. downloading multiple files (app 2MB total) via get *.  The transfer rate 
  27. decreased by about 200% and yet no timeout was indicated.  Any suggestions?
